Do all bunnies look alike?

When visiting my parents last year, l noticed something that has been hanging on the wall my entire life......a wooden thingy to hold the newspaper, with a carved drawing in a Folk Artsy style.

I actually like the image but l realised that these two looked like a perfect match, they bore an uncanny resemblance.

  • Did the artist have only one face in their repertoire?

  • Did the model change costume?

  • Was it an early stance for a Dutch transgender movement?

  • Since looking at this again at Christmas time, it is like l have called upon the 'same, same' gods!! They keep popping up everywhere......at the local liquor land the bogan country town, the married couple in over sized board shorts and short-sleeved-shirts with matching haircuts and glasses. Then in Sydney last week another couple.

I want to start photographing this phenomenon but what do you say if they catch you out........'oh, you look the same and l think it is funny'. Maybe not.
But l am going to do my best to snap some photos. Keep posted.

I Googled for photos for 'couples that look the same', but there were few results.
l did find this article in the New York Times and now it all makes sense!

Long-Married Couples Do Look Alike, Study Finds

SCIENCE is lending support to the old belief that married couples eventually begin to look alike.

Couples who originally bore no particular resemblance to each other when first married had, after 25 years of marriage, come to resemble each other, although the resemblance may be subtle, according to a new research report.

Moreover, the more marital happiness a couple reported, the greater their increase in facial resemblance.

If this is the case, the two pictured above, are a very, very, very happy couple!
